Everything printed and ready for submission.

The re-worked card backs for the card suits. They needed to be symmetrical so they dont give away what is on the other side. the only exception being the time card which is user choice so while it looks mirrored its not completely.

While I've been finilising my designs Kate Stachurski https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=kilometres%20cosplay (she dosen't have an art page but posts most her stuff here) has been play testing the cards to see how they work. she has been using makeshift cards because the final deck itself isnt printed yet.

I've started looking at packaging. I've got a few mock ups of boxes I think would work, I think the large grey one with the closable top is the most appropriate.

I've mocked up the line work and blocked in the tones for each of my 8 genre images. I also printed them in black and white to get an idea of how they look at scale before I move onto colouring them.

I've redesigned the 4 suits of cards to double the options available to the user and in doing so hopefully increasing the complexity of the illustrations drawn by the user.

After speeking with Tannia and Donald about my plan with the tarot cards idea, they where both concerned about time and how much work 22 illustrations where going to be so Tannia suggested I focus more on the genre cards and give them a more central role in the playing of the game. and to give myself a bigger canvas to work on I should make them about 4 times larger than the other 4 suits of cards.

While the cards have been working I feel like they are missing some direction. I've looked at perhaps modelling my cards after a tarrot deck. with the 22 major cards being tasks and then their own illustrations. so I've gone through each of the cards (like the fool, tower, high preistess ect) and destilled what each represent and how I could tranlate those to tasks for the illustrator to complete.
